The architect is telling about that, how designing the new building in the center of Manchester influences the society and all city as a whole. Beetham towers’ high is 169m, which makes it to be the tallest building in Manchester. Building volume and dimensions makes big différence for the city.

It is built in the place where previously was the remains of a Victorian railway viaduct. And now there is modern Hilton hotel with 279 guestrooms , Hotel bar and lounge, Restaurant, Conference facilities including 600 seat ballroom, Health club, including swimming pool, Hotel destination bar at level 23, 219 residential apartments, Basement car parking. 23rd level bar is accessible to publics and I think that is thing of great value. An in addition, the top floor is a penthouse with embedded olive trees of natural height.

The façade is made using steel and glass, double facades in the south side, curtain walls, balconies which provide solar shading. Façade is used also as a big screen during important events.

It is interesting how designer and owner had thought about buildings appearance in the nighttime and daytime. Building is constantly changing. In the day it is all monotone glass but in the night is becomes more personalized.
